Positions — track and manage your open trades
The Positions panel shows every open trade with live P&L, average price, SL/target and one-tap exit. Here's how to use it.
The Positions panel is where you manage everything you're holding — each open trade with its live profit/loss, average entry, quantity, and buttons to set a stop/target or exit.
What you see per position
- Name (e.g. NIFTY 24000 Call) and side (Long/Short)
- Live P&L updating tick-by-tick
- Avg (your entry price) and Mkt (current price)
- Lots / quantity and margin used
- SL/TGT button and Exit button
Overall P&L
At the top you get a combined Overall P&L (including today's closed trades), so you always know how the day is going.
Sections
Positions are grouped so it's easy to scan — for example F&O and Commodities are shown separately on the Commodities screen and the Terminal.
How to act on a position
- Set a stop/target: tap SL/TGT — see stop-loss and target.
- Close it: tap Exit — see how to exit a position.
- Review later: everything lands in your portfolio & journal.
FAQ
How is P&L calculated?
For a long: (current price − entry) × quantity. For a short: (entry − current) × quantity. It updates live with prices.
What does "incl. exited" mean on Overall P&L?
It adds today's realised profit/loss from trades you've already closed to your open P&L.
Can I set a stop-loss on a position?
Yes — tap SL/TGT on the position to set a stop-loss, target, or time-based exit.
