What is Scalp mode and how to scalp on Nifty Paper Trade

Scalp mode is a fast, one-tap trading view for quick in-and-out option trades. Learn what scalping is and how to use Scalp mode on Nifty Paper Trade.

Scalping is a fast trading style where you enter and exit within minutes (sometimes seconds) to capture small, frequent moves. Scalp mode on Nifty Paper Trade is a stripped-down view built for exactly this — the chart and the strikes side by side, so you can fire a buy or sell in a single tap without hunting through menus.

How to open Scalp mode

  1. Open the Terminal and select an index (NIFTY, BankNifty, FinNifty, etc.).
  2. Tap the Scalp button in the toolbar above the chart.
  3. The view switches to the fast scalping layout: live chart on one side, the nearest strikes with one-tap Buy/Sell on the other.

How to scalp a trade

  1. Watch the live chart for your entry (a breakout, a bounce, momentum).
  2. Tap Buy on the call (for an up move) or the put (for a down move) at the strike you want — the position opens instantly at the live price.
  3. Your live P&L updates tick-by-tick.
  4. The moment your target or stop hits, tap Exit — scalping is about taking small profits quickly and cutting losers fast.

Because everything runs on virtual money with live prices, Scalp mode is the safest place to build the speed and discipline scalping demands before doing it with real capital.

FAQ

What is the difference between scalping and normal trading?

Scalping targets very short holding times and small moves, with many trades a day. Normal trading holds for longer and targets bigger moves.

Is Scalp mode free?

You can view everything free. Placing trades requires an active plan, but all trades use virtual money — never real cash.

Which strikes are best for scalping?

ATM and near-ATM options have the highest sensitivity to index moves, so they're the usual choice for quick scalps.
